"Only a genius or an idiot takes a penalty kick like that" - Pele
The game is named after legendary Czech footballer Antonin Panenka. He miraculously kicked his penalty kick into the nets with a velvet soft stick during the penalty shootout in the 1976 European Championship final against West Germany. All Sepp Maier could do was stand there looking crestfallen.
This kick was no fluke. Dozens of attempts preceded this penalty kick until Panenka perfected his shot. We want to use this thought as inspiration until the final whistle.
Just like a real match, a board game is a team event. Thus, we hope to be able to rely on your cooperation during our proceedings.

About us
Panenka Football Manager was born out of a love for the game. Since childhood, a ball was kicked around at home. Later, board and computer games were added. The game in itself brings joy, but the connection of playing together is what excites me the most. Having developed many games for the youth movement, friends and currently local youth football team, the fire was now lit to design a board game where my youth and present come together.
